HOW DO PHOTOCHROMIC LENSES WORK?

There are billions of invisible molecules inside the photochromic lenses. When they are exposed to ultraviolet light, the molecular structure begins to change shape. This reaction causes the lenses to become a uniformly colored state. Once the lenses are out of sunlight, the molecules return to their usual form, and the lenses become transparent again.
